Hi there, Ameera here!
This Easy Healthy Pizza Sauce is soooo gosh-darned good, that I wanted to put in on everything from pizzas to pasta to casseroles, and we did exactly that! We are super excited to share this awesome recipe with you.
Oh-so-saucy
I love a great pizza, but let’s face it, if the sauce isn’t good, then neither is the pizza. Am I right? For me, it’s all about a thick, rich, bold sauce. The beauty of this sauce is that it captures all the flavorful essence a great Italian pizza sauce should have but with healthy ingredients. It’s a win-win-win (The Office reference).

The Best Healthy Pizza Sauce
Mom and I wanted to call it “The Best,” but we are modest people, and we are hoping you give the recipe a try and tell us if you love it as much as we do! We made this AH-MAZING Vegan Pizza Pasta Supreme dish with it ,and we practically inhaled it.
Dad was so upset because Mom and I nearly devoured every kitchen test like our lives depended on it. You snooze you lose! LOL But seriously, do you think we would leave Dad out in the cold? Not in a million years, he is our beloved “Taste Tester Extraordinaire.”
We made him his own batch, which he happily downed over a two-day period. Declaring the dish a masterpiece. LOL He said he loved that little hint of fennel in the pizza sauce. It totally made the sauce. Thanks Dad, good to know!
I’ll let Mom tell you more.
Hi! Robin here!
I totally agree with Monkey; this pizza sauce recipe totally hits the mark in the full of flavor deliciousness category. We absolutely loved it. Monkey’s idea to put in a little ground fennel was spot on. It gives the sauce an aromatic sausage-like flavor. That kid really knows her spices! I taught her well. LOL
I really can’t wait for our readers to try this dish! It will totally knock your socks off.
We hope you give this delicious Easy Healthy Pizza Sauce a try. Let us know what you think; we would love to know if you enjoy it as much as we do! Please leave us a review! Post a picture on Facebook or Instagram and tag us! We would love to hear from you.

This sauce was delicious! I’ve been looking for a flavorful oil-free pizza sauce for some time, and this was really everything I was looking for. I put it on some Pita Pizzas, and topped with home-made cashew cheese and veggies. Thanks so much!

Could I substitute a combo of tahini and soy sauce for the miso?
Hi there Cindy 🙂
We sincerely apologize for the late response as Monkey has been on maternity leave and we are now just being able to address comments – thank you for your patience. You could just leave the miso out, taste-test and adjust seasonings as needed.

Has anyone made a big batch and canned this sauce?
Hi there Judy,
We are not aware that anyone has made a big batch and canned it; although, it should work. We suggest switching to canning and pickling salt and possibly reducing the salt to taste as typically doubling, tripling salt sometimes doesn’t work appropriately. Thank you so much.

Quick and easy, but too sweet. Next time I’ll leave out the syrup.
Hi there Teri 🙂
Glad you found this recipe quick and easy! There is a +/- next to the maple syrup as we know some folks may find it sweet while others may want it sweeter. We have found that the sweetness or lack there of is regional and of personal preference. Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We appreciate it.

What is the difference between tomato sauce and pureed canned tomatoes? Just wondering if I need to buy something different that what I have
Hi there Janine,
Thank you for your question. Tomato sauce is thicker and has been cooked down to evaporate the water from the tomatoes, creating a deeper tomato flavor.
