Hi there, Ameera here!
This week’s Whip It Up Wednesday is our Cilantro Lime Sauce. It is such a wonderfully vibrant green sauce with fresh, bold flavors. It’s a fantastic pair for southwestern dishes, giving them this beautiful zing of goodness. YUM!
Perfect as a sauce for dipping or drizzling on veggie bowls, tacos, burritos, and much more!
Tostada Magic
We drizzled this deliciousness over tasty tostadas, and it was the perfect addition. They are soooo gosh darned good! We gobbled them right up. The best part is you can mix and match your favorite veggies. Here’s how we made our tostadas:
- Baked tostadas (Lay tostadas on a parchment lined baking sheet – bake at 350 F until crisp.)
- Baked and mashed sweet potato (Got a left-over sweet potato? Warm them up, and mash with a fork until smooth, then spread it on the baked tostada, sprinkled with a tiny bit of sea salt and smoked paprika.)
- Baked plantain strips (Cut green plantains into long thin strips, lay them on a parchment lined baking sheet – bake at 350 F until crisp)
- Roasted Bell Peppers and Corn (Cut bell peppers in thin strips, lay them on a parchment lined baking sheet along with some corn – bake at 350 F until desired tenderness)
- Spicy Black Beans
- Shredded lettuce
- Sliced avocados
- Fresh diced tomatoes
- Sliced red onions
- Pickled or fresh jalapenos
- Lime wedges
- Fresh chopped cilantro
- Drizzled with Oil Free Cilantro Lime Sauce

Thank you for this recipe. I can’t use sesame what can I use instead?
Hi there Cae 🙂
Thank you so much for reaching out to us. We haven’t tried any substitutes for the tahini, but you could try a nut butter instead. Keep in mind the flavors will be slightly different and you may need to adjust the other ingredients to fit your personal preference.
