Ameera here!
This week’s Whip It Up Wednesday is our Vegan Ranch Dressing. What is interesting is that we made this dressing back in December and thought we posted it waaaaay back then, but guess what? We didn’t as other recipes got shuffled around and somehow, it just never made it to the blog.
We were shocked because even though we have been using this version since December, we couldn’t believe we didn’t realize it wasn’t posted.
As you already know, every Wednesday, we feature a quick and easy recipe that can be “whipped up” in 20 minutes or less. This recipe can be made in about 5 minutes which really helps speed things up in the kitchen.
Our Vegan Ranch Dressing can be paired with so many other dishes. We have an awesome zucchini fritter recipe coming out in a few days and the combo will knock your socks off. Stay tuned!
Bottle vs Whole Food Plant Based
I adore Ranch Dressing, and in my previous life, I put it on everything from salads to pizza and everything in between. When we made this recipe back in December, we had decided to kitchen test it with a bottle of ranch dressing at the store to do a taste comparison. And boy were we on point!
“What is that taste?”
As we were doing our final kitchen test, I remember tasting a very tiny portion of my previous favorite store bought bottled ranch dressing, and I simply couldn’t believe how much my palate had changed.
I could actually taste the chemicals in the bottled ranch! The flavor tasted so “processed” and “chemical flavored” that I didn’t even like it. Which was surprising to me especially since I used to LOVE this brand of ranch dressing.

Oh this is goood!! I had been craving ranch dressing…I eat a huge salad every day for lunch…so put a BUNCH of this on my salad….delicious!! I don’t feel bad about using a lot for a big salad. THANK YOU SO MUCH for a nut free recipe. I’m watching my fat intake as well as WFPB. If I might make a suggestion…on your Pinterest pins add “nut free” to the list. I tap back and forth specifically looking for WFPB NUT FREE. Anyway, keep up the good work ladies…it’s people like you who make eating right EASY!!

I can’t have tofu, and would enjoy a ranch recipe using nuts, if you have one. Thank you……I am new to your blog…….love it.

I used about 2 c plain vegan yogurt, added half can drained and rinsed white bean such as cannelini, and the remaining seasonings, plus a little maple syrup and make a soy free one.
Hi there Tammt 🙂
Thank you for sharing what soy free version you enjoy!
-Ameera and Robin 🙂
Great I’m gonna use yogurt as well is it 1/2can white beans ?
I never comment on anything but want to say thank you for the amazing dressing recipes. I’ve been trying the Eat for Life plan for about 10 days now, and though it’s been going well the thought of another giant salad led me to binge the family’s take-out pizza last night. I’m back on track today thanks to this Cesar dressing, and just pinned a bunch more that have me excited for the week ahead! Pretty excited to be heading in to the holidays with a strategy not just for avoiding the annual weight gain, but reversing the past few… Read more »

Best dressing ever! This is going to sound weird, but I didn’t have any vinegar or dill weed, so I cracked open a pickle jar and used pickle juice instead! It still turned out great!

If I don’t have soft silken tofu, any subs??🤞
Hi there LouAnn,
We sincerely apologize for the late response, somehow this review got away from us. Perhaps make a cashew cream. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much.

Perhaps a silly question but is dried ground mustard and dry dill just the spice? I ask because normally you just say ground mustard or parsley. But here you reference dried specifically, which makes me wonder if I’m supposed to dry out fresh herbs?
Hi there Lydia,
We sincerely apologize for the late response, somehow this review got away from us. Thank you for your question. Dried ground mustard powder is simply dried mustard seeds that have been ground into a powder like onion powder and garlic powder. I hope this helps.
