Tips for Success:
- Flavor Profile: These Raspberry Bliss Balls are easy to make, absolutely delicious, healthy and pretty. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, holidays, cookie trays, or simply everyday yumminess.
- Raspberry “Dough” Mixture: The raspberry “dough” mixture is not sticky, but it should hold together very nicely when rolled into balls.
- Freeze-Dried Raspberries: We used freeze-dried raspberries you could substitute the raspberries for other freeze-dried fruits. Fresh raspberries will not work in this recipe.
- Medjool Dates: Medjool dates are naturally very soft and pliant. They work perfectly with this recipe because of this. If you have very dry dates, consider placing them in a bowl, cover with boiling water, and allow to sit for 3 minutes. Discard the water, and place into the food processor at the appropriate time. If you soaked the Medjool Dates, they may be a little stickier dough than anticipated. You may need to adjust by adding a tad bit more shredded coconut accordingly.
- Cashew Butter Substitutes: You can try the typical cashew substitutes: almond butter, other nut or seed butters with the understanding that the flavor and texture will change accordingly. You may need to adjust/add ingredients to compensate. We have not tested any substitutions.
- Raspberry Dust: These are the small bits of crushed freeze-dried raspberries that are typically found at the bottom of the package. If you are really into the pink colored shredded coconut, you may wish to consider buying a second bag of freeze-dried raspberries in order to crush some of the raspberries to create the crumbles.
- Coconut Coating: You can also just coat in unsweetened shredded coconut if you wish.
- Optional Coating: We coated half in the freeze-dried raspberry/coconut coating and left the other half uncoated. We loved how it looked together.
Leftovers and Freezing:
Leftovers will generally keep 5 to 7 days in the refrigerator. Store in a covered container.
These bliss balls freeze well.

Not only are these incredibly Raspberry Bliss Balls easy to whip up, but they also pack a punch of flavor and wholesome ingredients, making them the perfect guilt-free treat.
Ingredients
Base Ingredients:
- 1 – [ 1.2 oz. (34g) package ] freeze-dried whole raspberries (1 ½ cups)
- 7 Medjool dates, pitted
- 3 Tablespoons cashew butter *
- ¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 2 Tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon hot water (+/-)
- Pinch sea salt *
Optional Rolling Ingredients:
- ¼ to ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 teaspoon crushed freeze-dried raspberry dust *
Instructions
- Place the Medjool dates into the food processor, process for 30 to 45 seconds, until the dates are thoroughly chopped into tiny pieces.
- Then place the freeze-dried raspberries into the food processor along with the chopped Medjool dates, process for 30 seconds or until the raspberries are thoroughly chopped into a powder-like consistency.
- Next add all the remaining Base Ingredients and process until the mixture comes together by testing the mixture.
- Test the “dough mixture” by pinching it to see if it holds together easily. If too dry, add an additional ½ to 1 teaspoon of hot tap water. Continue until the dough holds together nicely. If too wet, add a teaspoon of shredded coconut and process.
- When the “dough” holds it shape, scoop up 1 tablespoon (or a small cookie scoop) of the mixture, roll into a firm ball and set on a parchment paper lined plate. Repeat until all the mixture has been rolled into balls.
- If rolling in optional coconut/raspberry dust coating, then place the unsweetened shredded coconut into a small bowl along with the crushed freeze-dried raspberry dust*, stir well to mix, then roll the raspberry bliss balls in the mixture to coat, repeat until the desired number are rolled and coated.
- Place the plate in the freezer for 30 minutes or until very firm.
- Once firm, move to an air-tight container, then store them in the refrigerator. They also freeze well.
