Avocado Hummus

Description

This creamy and velvety hummus is perfectly accented with the delicious flavor of avocados, cilantro, and lime. The silky texture is superb, making it an amazing Whole Food Plant Based dip.  Vegan, oil free, gluten free, refined sugar free, no highly processed ingredients.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Hummus –(or hummus of choice),  see recipe here
  • 2 avocadoes – rough chop
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro – loosely packed – not chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (+/-)
  • Pinch cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Add the hummus, avocadoes, cilantro, lime juice, cumin, sea salt and cayenne pepper to a food processor. Pulse several times, then puree until smooth, approx. 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Test the flavors, add more seasonings if desired, and pulse again.
  3. Enjoy!

Notes

*Excellent topper:  This avocado hummus is an excellent topper for tacos, quesadillas, and salads.

*Cayenne Pepper:  Do not add the cayenne pepper if you are looking for a creamy and cool topping to accompany spicy dishes.
