Description

This Fast and Easy Asian Cabbage Stir Fry hits the sweet spot with a bright, lightly seasoned Asian sauce that elevates every bite.


Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients:

  • 4 to 5 cups thinly sliced green cabbage *
  • 1 red bell pepper, julienne sliced *
  • 6 to 8 green onions, thinly sliced (+/-) 

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons reduced-sodium tamari *
  • 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon tahini
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup (+/-)
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon minced ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon cornstarch (or arrowroot powder)
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Optional Toppings:

  • Sliced green onions
  • Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds


Instructions

  1. Place all the Sauce Ingredients into a small bowl, whisk well, set aside.
  2. In a large, deep skillet, place all the Base Ingredients, over medium-high heat, sauté for several minutes, then add the Sauce Mix and stir and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  3. Sauté for several more minutes until the cabbage reaches the desired tenderness.
  4. Serve and top with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.
