Taco Hummus Base Ingredients:

  • 2 cups hummus *
  • 1 ½ teaspoon regular chili powder *
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon coriander
  • 1/8 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Mexican oregano (or regular oregano) *
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons nutritional yeast (optional) *

Serving Ideas Ingredients:

  • Baked tortilla chips
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Tomatoes, seeded, small dice
  • Sliced black olives
  • Sliced green onions
  • Thinly sliced jalapeno peppers
  • Avocado slices

Instructions

  1. Place all the Taco Hummus Base Ingredients into a small bowl and mixing well to combine, refrigerate until ready to assemble.
  2. Place the Taco hummus on a large serving platter. Sprinkle lightly with sweet paprika (optional).
  3. Place the baked tortilla chips around the taco hummus.
  4. Top and surround the taco hummus with all (or some) of the Serving Ideas Ingredients, serve immediately.
